REQUIREMENTS
Create a three dimensional model using both primitive and organic shapes and add a detail.
VISION
Create the impression that the organic shape grew up from the ground, truncated the cylinder, and carried the top away.
Organic Model
MATERIALS
Primitive shapes were carved from a red bark eucalyptus tree that I turned on a wood lathe. Organic shape was crafted from pieces of polyurethane foam glued over a coat hanger. The back contains a piece of polypropylene that was vacuum formed to nest with the large truncated cylinder.
